This mid-terrace Victorian property had been subjected to external decoration to the face brickwork as a remedial attempt to address the failure of the pointing and ‘shelling’ of the brick face.

Restored Victorian Terrace

Restored property Newly repointed and restored

To restore the façade to its original specification, the external decoration from the face brickwork was removed. Extensive repair work to face brickwork was carried out using reclaimed replacement bricks to provide the correct match. The brickwork was repointed using a lime-based mortar and a weather-struck and cut joint.
