To restore the façade and remaining elevations to its original specification, the external decoration from the face brickwork was removed. Extensive repair work to face brickwork was carried out using reclaimed replacement bricks to provide the correct match. The face brickwork was repointed using a lime-based mortar and a weather-struck and cut joint.
